USGS quadrangle maps annotated between 1969 and 2003 with the precise locations of historic buildings, sites, structures, and objects that are part of the Architecture and History Inventory (Drawers 1-9) and Archeological Sites Inventory (Drawers 10-20). Since 2003, information of this type is entered directly into the Spatial Data component of the Wisconsin Historic Preservation Database. Not all data contained on the maps has been added to the database so that some maps contain the only accurate location records for many rural properties.
